We are at the Mall of Georgia waiting for the fireworks to start.
Front Row: Marsha Howard, her sisters Dana and Sharon
Back Row: My Mom, then me and Beth Thompson
Marsha had a cheerleading flashback while we were waiting. It was
quite entertaining! Go Marsha!

Lake Burton 7-5-2009

Posted by PicasaDavid Bennett and I worked many many years together at United Stationers before he retired. He moved to Savannah where his daughter, Deborah and family live. They all came up to Lake Burton in Clayton, Ga for a vacation. It was so nice to see him and meet the rest of his family.
I was very impressed with Van who is 5. He is very mannerly! Thank you's and pleases every time. He never had to be asked. He is quite the fisherman. Emily is a cutie! She fished with her Meemee (Jane) Emily style. She had a cute little fishing pole with a purple fish. They would cast the line and Meemee would say, "wait for the fish to bite". Emily would reply, "fish bite" and start reeling in her catch. It was a very nice visit.

Outdoor Fireplace

For those of you who don't know ....not only is Ashley a personal trainer but she also sells fireplaces!! We call her Foreman Yancey. She even measures for these things. This is a fireplace she sold to a couple that she trains at their home. Isn't is beautiful? This is more of Videl Gonzales' work!!

Eucalyptus Tree

This is a Eucalyptus tree! Have you ever seen one? This is growing by Ashley's driveway to her "bungalow". I had never seen one before now.

It is just starting to turn green. Craziest thing I've ever seen. I thought they were bushes not trees. Shows what I know. No horticulture knowledge in this blood. lol

Chicopee Woods Mountain Bike Trail

Steve and Beth Thompson ~~Don and I.
Memorial Weekend we took a hike to Chicopee up in Gainesville.
We took the dogs Miller and Bailey (my friend, Dacee's dog) so they could run and we could get some exercise. It was a rainy day but the trees kept off the rain....mist actually.

We were in Gatlinburg for Kate's Wedding. We had just finished
breakfast and on our way back to the hotel.

Miller was invited to Maggie's B-day
party. Maggie is a yellow Lab and belongs to Marie,
a friend from work. However the party was canceled due
to weather. Marie brought Miller a bag of Party favors!
He loves his doggy with the big eyes!

On our daily trip to the lake, I stopped by
and got Miller's friend Bailey. They had so much fun playing in the water.

Mother's Day 2009

We started off Mother's Day with a brunch at I-Hop.
Then we went to my Mom's. It's always good to have the
tri-pod so everyone is in the picuture. We enjoyed the afternoon on
her patio. The weather was nice and enjoyable to be out.

Happy Easter my dear friend !!!
These Peeps are for you!
I was at Wal-Mart and I found all these Peeps. On top of that
the Easter Bunny was on break. I used his bench to take
pictures of all these different Peeps.
Easter Sunday out front of church. My Mom, Me and Ashley.
Below is a friend from work and her family that attended the
service with us.
This is the Murphy Family. Cristina works with me.
Her husband James and the kids~~Ashley, Dylan, & Justin.
Miller and I stopped down below the dam on the river side.
The geese were being feed bread by a couple of little girls.
Out further were a couple of babies. I took a picture of them
but you can't see them very well.

Aren't they beautiful.
These were on the other side of the
dam on the lake.

Lake Lanier~~~same day we had sleet....the trees are so
beautiful blooming...I was on my way back from Cumming where
it was sleeting. Miller and I stopped at one of the parks at the
dam to check it out. These trees were everywhere.
The reason for this picture is the sleet we had on April 7th.
It was sticking in my hair. You will have to click on the picture to see
it!
This was the accumulation!
Lake Lanier is up 1060.84 feet!! Yeah! This was taken the
first of April crossing over the dam.

He thinks he is going to stop me from
going down.

He's going to try and hide under the ledge of the step
so I can't see him

Posted by PicasaNow he knows I can get him and his is getting ready
to "get me"!!

The story with this dock is.....it has been totally out of water by many feet. I wish
I would have taken a picture before now. You could actually walk from where I am
taking the picture over to the dock. As you can see in the picutre below the engine is just
about in the water.
