Don gave me these for my birthday. He had the flu and was unable to

celebrate with me. I was surprised when I got home from work today and

these were sitting on the table.

This is a Milky Way Cake. Pam made it for my birthday. Very yummy and very much like a pound cake. It has a fudge type icing. It has 6 milky ways in it.
Our new tradition is making each other cakes and trying new recipes.
We went thru a Red Velet cake phase. The only thing is we had it in all
colors. It all started with David who was confused...He wanted a blue velet cake.....we told him it was red velet cake and blue suede shoes. So when
he retired Pam made a blue velet cake. It was more tourqoise....then
Dianne got a pink velet cake by accident. I wanted purple with blue icing.
Then we did bright blue w/ yellow for someone else. Then I found a recipe for a red velet pound cake....Pam got that for her b-day.......

Mexican. He had the cake made. It is made with three

types of milk and has fruit in the middle. Yummy!

Today---what a rainy cold day. The day is still young and nothing but work
going on.......glad to be here though. The alarm went off and oh how I hated to
get up and get going. I was sleeping so good. My dog wouldn't go out side to potty.
Heaven forbidd he should get rain drops on him........but oh how we love to swim in
this cold weather. I need to get him a life jacket. He gets to swimming and goes
pretty far off shore. It sure would be cold if I had to jump in and save him for some
reason. Burr!!

Yesterday....I set this blog up so that you will be able to get messages
from all that care and want to share messages with you.

and the yesterday before yesterday I went to the lake with my dog. I finally
decided to see how far I actually run/walk. I have a chip I put in my Nike shoe
and it tracks the milage through my IPOD. It said we did 2.76 miles.....some is paved
and some we cut through the woods. He likes to run through the woods. That nose
picks up every scent out there. Deer...squirrels....birds.......oh love to get the big birds!!!

I try and steer him away from the deer if I see them first......he'd be in the next county
still chasing them.........we've been lucky so far.
